Hookah Habibi is my go to place for late night Afghan tea and snacks but this time I ordered baklava and it’s the worst dessert I’ve ever had! First of all it’s NOT a baklava. They add something in the pastry sheet with green coloring and call it pistachios. This sheet is too hard and feels utterly unhealthy. I love this place so I really recommend them to work on their desserts!

Had a good experience at Hookah Habib Restaurant in Jakarta during a business trip with colleagues. The food tastes great, and the ambience is cozy and romantic, especially if seated outside. However, inside can get quite smoky due to the hookah. Service was a bit slow, and the staff weren’t very present to offer recommendations—you basically have to choose and order on your own. That said, the overall experience was enjoyable, and it’s a nice spot to relax with good food. Would recommend, especially for outdoor seating!
