When we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated immediately. The place was almost empty—there were only two of us at the 14 tables in the left wing. We placed our order, and after 45 minutes of waiting, I felt it was only reasonable to ask where our food was. No one warned us beforehand that there would be a long wait; not a single word was mentioned. Just because the place is called Barbizon, it doesn't make such a delay acceptable in a restaurant. The location and Ocean Drive atmosphere are beautiful, but unfortunately our breakfast experience was very disappointing. We were first seated outside after one of the waitresses encouraged us to come in for breakfast, advertising a buy one drink, get one free special. What was not explained upfront was that one drink was $30, which felt very misleading from the start. Then it started raining, and we were asked to move to another table. Yes, I'm back and I have to tell you about this place in Miami Beach. I really enjoyed and appreciate my waiter. He went above and beyond to make sure me and my daughter was alright. He even took a minute to play with my grandson. This place is amazing and the food was delicious. I will be back and will bring more people to taste the wonderful food here. I ordered the steamed mussels I asked before hand could I just have them steamed with butter no white wine sauce or tomato sauce because I have a tomato allergy, they still brought them out with tomato’s on top so I had to wait again for them to be cooked again fresh or so I thought, when the mussels came I started eating them then I spotted pieces of tomato’s throughtout the mussels at the bottom of the plate.
