Uptown lounge has been a neighborhood staple forever and they opened a coffee shop recently. It’s so surprising because it is a busy bar at night yet transforms into a really cozy and comfortable coffee shop in the morning. They have flowers on the tables, old movies on the TVs, Great music playing, and the best coffee in the neighborhood. I love working from here, fast WiFi and plugs everywhere. Had walked by and seen this place busy in the evenings, but then learned they started opening as a coffeeshop some mornings and was sold. Stopped by a couple months ago around midday on a weekend day. Plenty of space to spread out and plenty of seats available. Was pretty perplexed by actually ordering. The people in my group could not for the life of us find a menu anywhere near where you order. If there was one, it really should be made more blatantly obvious or staff should make sure to point it out. Nice vibe, not too busy, reasonably priced. Came on a frigid Sunday night to watch the Bears game. Owner brought some chips and warmed up chili for everyone. It's too bad we lost, but it was a fun time, and they had some karaoke after to lighten the mood.

Great coffee bar in the mornings!! I love the lattes here, but really can't go wrong with any of their coffee/pastries. We already loved Uptown Lounge as a bar and now we're so excited for another walkable coffee shop!! It's so close to the Lawrence L stop and the 81 line. All of the staff are so friendly and they have a cool punch card deal!
